You spent hours getting the lighting just right. You styled your products, edited your photos, and posted them with a caption that felt genuinely clever. Then you waited. And waited. A handful of likes trickled in, maybe a comment or two, but the sales notifications stayed quiet. If that feels familiar, you are not alone,…

Dollar Tree find that actually works for my sensit Dollar Tree find that actually works for my sensitive skin.

The Dermasil Labs Oatmeal line — cleanser, toner, and serum — has been a quiet little staple for me. When you have histamine intolerance and skin that treats most products like a personal attack, finding something gentle that actually calms things down feels like a win.

Oatmeal has been used for reactive skin forever, and for good reason. It soothes, it doesn’t strip, and it doesn’t trigger the kind of reaction that has me reaching for Benadryl at midnight.

The catch? I can’t find it anymore. Shelves are cleared out before I can restock. And I think we all know why.

Can we talk about shelf-clearing for content? There are people shopping dollar stores because that’s their budget — not for a haul video. The ethics of that matter.

If you know a @dollartree that still has this in stock because this isn’t available on their website? please slide into my comments. 👇

Sometimes a spring refresh doesn’t need a Sephora budget — it just needs a slow afternoon and a dollar store with surprisingly good finds. Retinol eye roller, contour sticks, a lavender cuticle pen, pistachio hand sanitizer… yes please.

This is self care on a GenX budget and I have zero regrets.

Here is the truth most product-based business owners eventually learn: a stunning flat lay will stop the scroll, but it will not close the sale by itself. What converts a browser into a buyer is the story behind the product, the trust built through consistent content, and the strategy that makes sure the right people find you in the first place.

That means blog content that works for you around the clock. Email that reaches your warmest audience directly. Behind-the-scenes moments that make your brand feel human. Community that keeps customers coming back long after the first purchase.

Your products deserve a strategy as strong as they are.

I just published a new post breaking down exactly what that looks like for product-based businesses. Link in bio.
